Hello! I am a writer and student located near Portland, Oregon.
Writing is one of my passions. I first truly felt a passion for writing during my senior year of high school. That year introduced me to academic writing which led to me studying writing during my undergrad. I received my B.A. from Western Oregon University in 2019, where I majored in English: Writing and minored in Spanish and Humanities. The classes I took during those formative years opened up the world of literature to me in a fresh and new way. I fell in love with British literature, specifically those writers of the Renaissance period, especially the metaphysical poets like John Donne and George Herbert. Diving into literature in this way sent me on my current journey toward academia. Currently, I am a writer for a nonprofit and am enrolled at Western Seminary, where I am pursuing an M.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies.
Along with writing and studying, I love to read, drink coffee, go to concerts, travel, and hike. My favorite season is autumn—the best time for warm cozy drinks and reading, go figure! My most recent trip was to magical Scotland (see my photo from the Quiraing on the Isle of Skye over to the right) and I am counting down the days until I can go back!
